[email protected] Destined LiFE Mission STATEMENT hELLA HUNG Light WORKER OUTREACH Sep-15th-2022 Thursday, Dear Scott Pullman, I am so honored and deeply appreciative of this opportunity. My heart and soul really wants to work with you. For I'm actually a giant Non-Orofit, community resource guy! I'm 5'1 208lbs. As a child I was always was the shortest kid in school. So Bullies always picked on me. I watch a lot of Hong Kong Movies with my Grandma as a child. So I was able to fight back. In middle school a bully was picking on my Bestie. I stood up for him because he was super shy. The kid and I got into a fight. This fight would change my life forever. You see I had a favorite counselor named "Misses Mcduffy" She is the sweetest soul ever! When I was called to the principals office, I was shocked to see her in tears. I asked what's wrong? She said, " You got into a fight." I said I'm ok and fine! She replied, " Yes, but look what you did to the poor kid, I didn't know you could do such a thing." OMG! All my life, I always fought back and stood my ground against bullies. But now someone I deeply cared about was hurt indirectly from my actions. "Was it really true? Violence solves nothing and can hurt the ones you love?" Still unsettled by that incident, I decided to give Peace a chance. So I went, and met a man that would change my Life FOREVER. "Mr. David Van Winkle" was the first adult to ever listen to a youth and give me unconditional faith and belief. He was so jolly about me! He could see into people's souls and draw out the best out of our potentials. He encouraged and recruited me the rest of my Jr. Year as we passed each other in the hallways. He was putting together a hand picked class of 8 to be in his "Peer Resources" class. I agreed and we had to come in an hour early/zero period because our Scedual we're jamed pack with graduating requirements as Seniors in 1998. He made me the leader and took me from being a shy Kung Fu Guy to being an outspoken Youth Advocate and MENTOR. He blessed me with the gift of positivity and "The Spirit of Humannity Goodness" Eager to learn and get involved with more non profits. I learned about the "Oakland's Men's project" which spoke of inner peace and dealing with emotional scars. I joined the Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center in 1998 and became a "Change MAKER" This concept and tittle would become my mission. In Jr. College I became a "Jump Start" Americore Core leader. I was also a cartoonist, editor, and cartoonist for the campus news paper and magazine. I founded an Official Break Dancing club to boost moral on campus being a school spirit guy from high school. I was on the Track, football, fencing, and Wrestling team. I was also an assistant Instructor as a Sophomore in high school 1996 and my Hapkido "Karate Club" Dojo!
